Melanoma, the most serious cancer of the skin, is diagnosed in over 76,000 people each year. Prevention is the best defense against the disease. Although melanoma is less common, it is more serious than other skin cancer because of its ability to travel to other parts of the body. The good news is that, if found at an early stage, melanomas can be curable.

On June 5, 2017, the 12th Annual Save Your Skin Melanoma Awareness Golf Classic will raise funds to support the Carolinas Melanoma and Immunotherapy Fund at LCI.

Contributions to the Save Your Skin Melanoma Awareness Golf Classic are tax-deductible in accordance with IRS regulations. In the event of inclement weather, one-half of golf packages will be refunded. The reception and program will proceed as scheduled.
