Cycle to the Sea – Charleston (October 13-15, 2017)

October 13, 2017 | 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Imagine riding a bike 240 miles or more across the Carolinas, in just three days.

Now, imagine pedaling that distance using only your arms or without sight. This is what a group of extraordinary cyclists set out to do annually.

Cycle to the Sea is a unique ride that raises funds and awareness for the Adaptive Sports and Adventures Program (ASAP) at Atrium Health’s Carolinas Rehabilitation. This bike ride is held every year and involves athletes with physical disabilities who cycle on handcycles and/or tandem bikes. Each rider must obtain individual pledges in order to participate.

Cycle to the Sea – Charleston,  suited for the experienced cyclist, is 240 miles (80 miles a day for 3 days). The registration fee to ride is $75 and will be handled offline through ASAP (asap@carolinashealthcare.org / 704-355-1062).

Cycle to the Sea is one of the main fundraisers for ASAP and allows us to continue to offer a variety of low-cost programs for youth and adults with physical challenges in our community and surrounding areas.

We invite you to join or support us in this exciting adventure!
