The Keep Pounding 5K Stadium Run draws hundreds of avid runners, passionate football fans, cancer survivors and supporters of pediatric cancer programs to participate in the only charitable run that uses the home of the Carolina Panthers as its course. This one-of-a-kind event draws crowds not only to run but friends and family of participants to come together to help fight pediatric cancer in our community.
The Keep Pounding Campaign, founded in 2003 by the Carolina Panthers and Carolinas HealthCare Foundation, encourages cancer survivors and their loved ones to always “Keep Pounding” in the fight against cancer.
The Keep Pounding 5K Stadium Run benefits pediatric cancer programs at Carolinas HealthCare System’s Levine Children’s Hospital. Funding supports vital resources in the FIGHT against pediatric cancer including new Phase I and Phase II clinical trials now offered at Levine Children’s Hospital. Thanks to these clinical trials, families have access to the most advanced treatments available where it matters most – close to home. When a family is faced with a diagnosis of cancer, their entire world gets turned upside down.
Location: This year our finish line returns to center field at Bank of America Stadium!
Runners are bussed from the Mint Street Parking Deck (410 S. Mint Street) to the start line at Levine Cancer Institute (1021 Morehead Medical Drive). Runners should report to check-in no later than 7:25AM to ride the bus to the start line.
