Works of Romare Bearden (1911-1988)
Charlotte Fine Art Gallery is presenting to the Charlotte community Works of Romare Bearden: 1911-1988
With over 45 limited edition, signed and numbered prints available for acquisition the collection will be on exhibit and for purchase during Black History Month.
Born to (Richard) Howard and Bessye Johnson Bearden in Charlotte, North Carolina, Bearden is best known for his collages. Romare Bearden also created paintings in oil and gouache, watercolors and drawings; photographs, monotypes, and edition prints; designs for record album covers, book illustrations, and the ballet.
All works in this private collection will be available for acquisition to those who have awaited the opportunity to own one of Romare Bearden’s work. In addition, a private collector will be donating a portion of each sale to benefit brain cancer research at Levine Cancer Institute, to continue the fight for a cure.
