In late October of last year, doctors at Levine Children’s Hospital diagnosed Bryanna (then, age 9) with Stage IV Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. Bryanna started chemotherapy just days later. After 12 weeks of chemotherapy, her scans showed no evidence of the disease. The journey was not easy, but Bryanna’s family had faith in her strength and her medical team at the hospital’s Torrence E. Hemby Jr. Pediatric Hematology and Oncology Center.

Always by her side was her mother, Wendy, who is a breast cancer survivor and registered nurse. Wendy knew the fight Bryanna faced all too well. But for Bryanna, knowing what her mother had experienced gave her a sense of calm and an intuition about her own situation.

Surrounded by the compassionate care of her family – including her “hospital family” at Levine Children’s Hospital – Bryanna is cancer-free today. Your donations ensure that children like Bryanna receive the best cancer-care available in the Carolinas.

Donate today and help us spread the word on #GivingTuesday, December 1, to #GiveCarolinasHope for a cancer-free future!
